3 Wheeled Buggies
A 3-wheel buggy is perfect for off-roading and dealing with terrain that is bumpy, like woodland tracks. They are also more easy to maneuver around kerbs than 4-wheel models.

MadeForMums reviews editor Kath tried one of these three-wheelers while with her newborn and three year old daughter, putting it through its paces on asphalt and on the muddy ground. Read her review here.
Stability
With four wheels and a central point of gravity that is balanced by the weight of your child in the seat, 4-wheel buggies are generally considered to be more stable than 3-wheelers. Three-wheel buggies are still worth considering as they can handle anything from rough terrain to busy streets.
For a buggy that's easy to handle and won't be a problem on bumpy roads, look for one with large rear wheels and an adjustable front wheel that locks. These all-terrain buggies often have pneumatic tyres too, which are excellent for handling surfaces that aren't paved and can even be used on sandy beaches or woodland tracks.
They're also the best buggies to be running around in, as they provide great stability over rough terrain and help you keep pace with your running partner. They're also excellent at climbing and descending steep kerbs and a majority have a built-in suspension which means your child will have a pleasant ride.
A 3-wheeled stroller isn't easy to maneuver because of its large frame. It can be more difficult to maneuver through doorways and narrow spaces than a 4-wheeler. However certain manufacturers have addressed this issue by implementing a clever design that makes the wheels turn up when they are not in use, which reduces their overall size and allows you get through doors with ease.
You'll also have to consider whether the buggy you choose to use is suitable for your baby from birth, or if you're thinking of using it in conjunction with an infant car seat or carry cot. If so, ensure that it is in an upright position and if the design is compatible with second-seats and buggy boards (if you're planning to put a toddler onboard). 3 wheeled pushchair -wheelers can fold flat and be stacked upright. This is great if you only have limited space in your boot or a small amount of storage space at home. However, some require you to remove the front wheel before folding if you want it to fit into even more compact space.
Manoeuvrability
Three-wheeled buggies are more maneuverable than strollers with four wheels. They often come with a swivelling front wheel that lets you change direction quickly and steer using just one hand. Certain models come with locks on the wheel to offer stability on rough terrain. Some models can even be used with an additional seat or buggy board in case you're planning to expand your family.
If you're considering taking your three-wheeled vehicle off of paved tracks, it's worth choosing one with air-filled tyres (also known as pneumatic tyres) which are able to withstand the most difficult terrain. These tyres might need to be pumped up from time to intervals, but they'll be more durable and puncture-proof than solid tyres. Find 3 wheeler pushchair with a the ability to lock the swivelling wheel on the front to assist you in maneuvering difficult surfaces.
When folded, three-wheelers may be more bulky than four-wheeled buggies due to the single front wheel. Be sure that the model you choose fits in your car's boot and can be set up in a straight line if needed. Certain models can fold in one hand and are freestanding when collapsed, which can make them more compact in boot spaces that are smaller.
A quality three-wheel pushchair will be used on all terrains from busy streets to forest tracks. It's important to consider how you will use it every day. If you'll be doing the school run, it ought to be able to handle steep kerbs and slopes. If you'll be jogging with it, check that it has an adjustable lockable swivelling'stretch' for the front wheel to ensure that the ride is steady.
MFM reviewer Kath found her tri-wheeled buggy was able to handle well on the countryside and urban walks. Kath noted that it was able to negotiate cobbles, rocky paths and uneven pavements effortlessly and was comfortable when running. It's also a great option for day trips because it is packed with storage space. It has an ample, spacious zip-top covered basket as well as an extended 50+ UV hood. It can be modified to meet the needs of a baby from birth, with a carry cot or lying-flat seats. It is also compatible with the most well-known stroller seats and second seats.
Fabric Sling Seat
The main difference between a fabric sling versus a modular seats is that the fabric sling fits snugly inside the buggy frame instead of sitting on top like a modular seat would. This makes it easier to maintain an ergonomically appropriate position for the baby, leading to a lower center of gravity that is just the right height. This leads to a more comfortable push, a more light curb-pop (you don't need to exert the same effort and weight to lift the buggy off the curb) and more stability and balance.
The sling fabric used in these types of buggy seats are also very hard-wearing and easy to clean. These fabrics were developed specifically for Sling chairs and are highly UV resistant and ventilated. They also have excellent aging resistance and are very easy to clean using mild soap and water.
If you're a jogger or enjoy a bit of off-roading, an all-terrain 3 wheeler is likely to be more suitable than a buggy with four wheels. These types have a bigger base, are more stable and use air-filled tyres to provide smooth movement over rough terrain.

3-wheel buggies are especially suitable for off-road and all-terrain adventures because they offer more stability than 4-wheel strollers. The large, extremely maneuverable front wheel allows for a quick and smooth motion, while the tyres are usually air-filled and feature suspension, providing an excellent ride on the roughest trails and roads. The wheels are not as close to the ground on these pushchairs as they are with four wheeled pushchairs. This makes them perfect for walking uphill.
Parents who like to run and jog with their children typically opt for 3-wheel strollers because they are more agile and sleeker than their 4-wheel counterparts.
